Jae is a wonderful big sister. She calls Joanah "her new baby, peanut, and sunshine." She gets pacifiers, diapers, and blankets for us and loves to give gentle kisses.

Family together in Missouri
Quick update - we are at Lara's Grandma's house in southern Missouri until we get the go to head back to Iowa. We have had room to spread out, play, and watch the Olympics. Jae is impressed her sleepyhead sister Joanah. Joanah is sleeping pretty well, was up 3 times last night to eat (and she is eating a lot). She still has her days and nights confused, but we are hopeful that she will turn that around soon!!! Joanah loves to scowl...as you will see. Jae likes to say she is thinking / saying "I pity the fool..."

Update
Hello all, everyone is out of the hospital and we are going to court on Friday morning. After that we will have temporary custody (until final custody at six months), but will have to wait for approval to leave due the fact that we live in another state. Everyone is doing well.

Joanah Lynne
We were blessed with the birth of Joanah Lynne today at 3PM in Overland Park, KS. Joanah weighed 6lbs 4oz and was 18.5 inches long. Birthmother Brittany, Joanah, Lara, Jae, and I are all doing well.
